It Didn’t Start As A Crusade

These three talented women have been artists all their lives. Eighteen years ago... they began going outside to capture some of the unique architecture & beach-scapes on canvas.

The Public Response Was Incredible

Their work encourages historic preservation... Florida tourism...inspiring renovations and respect for things past.

Now, all three Plein Aire Cottage Artists (Mary Rose Holmes, Violetta Chandler and Helen Tilston) are the focus of a television documentary.

The Emmy Award-Winning production team, Lynn Marvin DingfelderLarry Wiezycki have been on location at Indian Rocks Beach following the artists at work and are interviewing people over the next several months for this documentary.

Now You Can Help This Cause

You can help tell this important story about our Florida history, preservation and saving our beach cottages before they are gone forever.

We're looking for old photos or 8mm film footage of Florida beach vacations that can help tell this story.

If you smash a cottage it’s gone forever, and a condo takes its place. We do not want the Great Wall of Florida.
